Wave Race Gameplay Mechanics

Launch your arrow into the narrow passage by pressing the main input key.

  • PC: Hold Left Mouse Button, Space, or W to move upward. Release to move downward. Press P to pause.
  • Mobile: Hold the screen to move upward. Release to move downward.

Hold to move up and release to move down. Look ahead for spikes, gears, and moving walls, then adjust your path before getting too close.

Make micro-corrections inside tight gaps to prevent crashing into structural walls.

Push past difficult sections to reach the finish line without losing momentum.

Why do Narrow Gaps Become so Difficult?

Wide zones let you correct your line easily. Narrow gaps do not. If your arrow sits too high or low upon entry, you lack room to fix the error.
Trouble compounds when another hazard waits right behind the first gap. You must plan your next altitude before clearing the current one. That is why scanning ahead beats reacting at the last second.

Expert Survival and Scoring Tips

Use short tap inputs to gain finer control inside very cramped spaces.

Look ahead at the upcoming path instead of staring directly at your arrow.

Avoid overcorrecting your trajectory to prevent hitting the opposite wall.

Adjust your height early when the safe corridor shifts direction sharply.

When a section becomes difficult, take advantage of the checkpoint. It saves time because you can practice the problem area without repeating everything before it.
